Hey Honey, after a long week of work nothing sounds better than lying out poolside with some shades on and an ice cold drink in hand! One of our summer go-tos is sweet tea–with practically unlimited variations there's a flavor sure to please everyone. While recipes range from a subtle hint of sweetness to immediate tooth-ache, we prefer ours right in the middle. That's what we love about this recipe from A Beautiful Mess (we're not complaining about the use of honey either!).
Honey & Orange Sweet Tea
Makes one large pitcher.
Ingredients
- 64 ounces water (or about 2/3 full in a large pitcher)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cold brew tea bags
- 1 orange
Directions
- In the pitcher stir together the water, sugar and honey until dissolved.
- Add the tea bags and allow to brew for 3-4 minutes (check your package for directions as different brands may have different suggestions) then remove.
- Slice the orange very thin, removing any seeds. Then add the orange slices and enough ice to fill the pitcher.
- Serve cold and enjoy!
Stay cool, honey!
